How to spot a pump and dump 🐍

Some opportunist have taken to treating this sub like their own personal robinhood account. Make no mistake they are here to profit at your expense. I’m posting this because being pumped and subsequently dumped sucks, it just feels bad man. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
So if you don’t want to end up a jerry smith holding the bag on limited edition Star Wars coins then watch out for these tells that you’re being pumped.
  1. Urgency: Ever notice that that best deals will disappear if you don’t act fast? This is a classic sales trick used to pressure you into making a decision without thinking. It works for cars, clothes, gym memberships, and... stocks. No one can predict the price of a stock for EOW, EOM, or even EOY. Anyone claiming to is absolutely full of shit.
  2. Fomo: We love to see gain porn, that’s why we’re here right? For that sweet fat FIRE! But there’s a difference between bragging and goading. If someone posts their gains of 2000% and encourages you to get in on a stock at ATH ask them where tf their dd was at 10% or even 50%, crazy how we never see that. You’ve already missed out, there’s no point in worrying about what if’s, even if you bought it earlier it would’ve tanked anyway. Just focus on the next play and move on.
  3. Zero Doubt: Only a sith deals in absolutes. Believe it or not there is risk in every play and real dd considers it and offers counter points or the likelihood of either scenario playing out. The OP of a pump will leave this out entirely and claim a “sure thing” because this is the only thing stopping you from yoloing your kids college fund. In the back of your head you’re thinking “what if it tanks” and the OP will call you an idiot for even bringing up the risks. You are if you think a stranger is offering a free lunch with no strings attached.
  4. Emotional: Nothing screams desperation like an overly enthusiastic and defensive sales pitch. A good investment will be rooted in facts and the OP will discuss its merit like a newborn in Sparta. If they insult, go all caps, or go to other subs begging them to come here and down vote you... then find another yolo because this person is way too hungry for your money.
  5. Rando: This should go without saying, but if the OP has a Reddit age of 2 weeks you should be wary of what they have to say. Some folks do have a track record around here and while that doesn’t mean much, it’s at least some credibility compared to the obvious pump and dump accounts spamming this sub.
  6. Everyone is piling in: An effective pump and dump will convince nearly everyone, largely because they utilize all of the aforementioned tactics. Usually the naysayers get down voted to oblivion. But the obvious plays have either already had their run up or there’s a risk that isn’t being considered and it’s why the price is what it is. This is that classic tulip case study you always hear about, the masses piling into a sure thing that inevitably crashes.
This isn’t exhaustive and you probably won’t see everything in a post, but if you see 2 or 3 you should be prepared to get stuck holding a bag for years or possible worse.
And yeah I know this is a Wendy’s casino, but in a casino your odds are what they are, other players aren’t allowed to use your money on their bets so they can instantly cash out. And yet that’s what’s happening here. The house already has an edge, don’t give your tendies to some stranger on the internet.
My position: all in on the house of mouse!

[pi] The Devil Is In The Details

Inspired by: [WP] As you successfully summoned the Devil himself, he promised to grant you any wish for your soul as payment. He wasnt prepared for you to say "I wish you can make up with God".
Lucifer blinked, certain he’d misheard. The child who didn’t look old enough to spell his name looked up at him from where she stood at the head of her salt drawn pentagram. “It-it’s not that easy,” he stammered, looking for an adult that he could have a reasonable conversation with.
“But you can do anything,” she insisted. “So why can’t you do this?”
Lucifer lifted a hand, then dropped it at his side. “Why is this so important to you, kid?”
“Whenever I have a fight at school, Miss Gradel makes me sit down and talk to them. I don’t like it, but she says we have to.” She lifted her chin to look up at him. “And if I have to, so do you.”
Lucifer’s shocked features melted into understanding. “Ahhh, I see,” he purred. “Misery loves company. You know I coined that phrase, right?”
“What?”
Lucifer closed his eyes. This kid summoned him from his Casino chain in Vegas to … wherever in the world he was, by using a complicated ritual involving incantations that most of this world’s people knew nothing about, but she didn’t know what it meant to coin a phrase?
“How about I get you a winged pony, kid? One that sits in your pocket and breathes fire and eats the kids you fight with. Then you won’t have to sit through Miss Gradel’s interventions anymore.”
The girl looked thoughtful, and Lucifer believed he had a winner.
“You’re scared of him.”
Ahhhhh….what? “Nooooo,” Lucifer insisted.
“Yes, you are. He’s your Dad and you had a big fight with him, and now you aren’t talking anymore. I still don’t like Miles Tooley, but after we were made to talk, I found out he was a bully because his dad was. And that got me thinking. What if there’s something in God’s past that you don’t know about? Something that stops you two from being close.”
Lucifer chuckled and looked at the ceiling overhead. “Kid, The Almighty is an open book, and as his creations, we all play our part. Mine is to be the black sheep that can never go home. Without me, people have no reason to follow his word. I was banished, kid. Do you get that? It's pretty hard to kiss and make up if I’m not allowed back and he never leaves.”
“So, you’re stuck here?”
Lucifer shrugged. “It’s complicated.”
“But you promised me anything I wanted.”
Lucifer raked his fingers through his hair. “Okay, kid. I’m not supposed to do this, but I really need you to rethink that promise before it gets us both killed. You look like a very smart young lady, so tell me if I’m going too fast for you.”
He took a deep breath and continued. “I don’t really run Hell. It’s all a giant shell game of the higher-ups. A deal Dad struck with the real masters of Hell a long time ago, back when Uriel and I were friends. I’m just a figurehead who got in over his head and our fathers came to this solution. I screwed up and cost Hell a chunk of their lost souls … that they weren’t using,” he added quickly, knowing that defence hadn’t saved him all that time ago when he was brought back to Heaven in chains amidst the very angry Highborn Hellions. “And a deal was struck between them. I had to pretend to rule Hell so that evil-doers had somewhere other than Heaven to go.”
Lucifer looked down at her wide eyes and wondered if he had already said too much. But, as the saying went, what the hell. He kept going. “And Hell got the double bonus of extra souls to torment and all the power that came from the belief that I ruled Hell.”
“That’s not fair.”
Lucifer’s laugh was hollow. “That’s the point, kid. The Highborn Hellions don’t do anything fair. The deck is ALWAYS stacked in their favour.”
“What would have happened to you, if this deal wasn’t made?”
Lucifer blinked again. He had never really thought about that. “I’d be dead, I guess,” he said.
The little girl smiled. “Then Heaven did get something else out of it. The Almighty got to keep you, even if he had to send you away afterwards. You lived, after making a mistake that should have killed you.”
Lucifer turned away from her, staring at the brick wall of the girl’s basement. Is that even … no, he told himself. No … noo … He hates me. That’s why he exiled me. Salvaging a deal out of that screwup was a bonus. Getting rid of me was intentional because he hates me for not being like the rest of my rim-licking, goodie-two-shoes brothers and sisters.
It was a mantra that had served him well since his exile. He could feel better about it if he hated them first and more.
“Maybe you’re right,” the girl said, causing him to look back over his shoulder at her. “You can’t make up with someone who already loves you so much he sent you away to protect you.”
Lucifer swallowed. He didn’t want this. He didn’t want to think as she did. But now that the nugget had been placed in his mind, he could feel it already growing. “Kid, do you mind if we pick this up another time?” he asked, no longer wanting to be there.
“Will you come back if I call?”
“Do you know how to toss a coin?” he asked.
When the girl nodded, Lucifer flicked her a very special coin. “Flip this in the air, darlin’,” he said. “I’ll be back before it lands to continue this talk.”
The girl turned it over and over in her hands. “Promise?”
“Devil’s honour,” he said, curling his fingers into the hellion sign that over recent decades had become a rock symbol. More lies to feed the machine.
Two steps later, Lucifer had teleported himself back to the biggest of his casinos in Vegas. He went to the drinks cabinet that lined a wall and took down a bottle of Macallan ’52 and broke the seal on it. Then he walked out onto his balcony that overlooked the strip, though it wasn’t the bright lights that drew his attention.
No, as he tipped the bottle to his lips, his eyes went to the night sky overhead.

Why you should buy Ethereum dips and never sell

Ethereum is quickly becoming entrenched to the function and upkeep of the internet itself, unlike bitcoin ether is used from reddit community tokens all the way to video gaming, online casinos, and vr. Ether is essential to the structure of the Internet 2.0 and will become essential to AR, MR, and VR in Extended reality. Once this happens eth will quickly catch up with btc. Do yourself a favor, never sell, if you get any amount of eth just keep it and buy the dips. Coinbase is filled with coins that nearly all depend on ether in one way or another. The future is clear and Ethereum is in it.

What’s your totem?

In the story, Arthur explains to Ariadne that she will need a totem that will act as a reminder to the dreamer that they are in fact dreaming. It must not be too common. Something that has a weight or movement that only you would know. ~ ARIADNE: Like a coin? ARTHUR: Too common. You need something that has a weight or movement that only you know. ARIADNE What’s yours? Arthur holds out a DIE. ~
WHAT WOULD YOUR TOTEM BE?
:My totem would be a specific coin. Although, Arthur explains that a coin would be too easy to copy/guess, mine is a 1923 Peace silver dollar with a chip above the eagle from when i dropped it while riding the train from Sears Tower after work. If I am dreaming, the coin will always land standing up on its edge after I flip or drop it. The coin will also never topple when I spin it and will stop on its edge like Cobb’s top.
~ Dom Cobb's totem is a spinning tractricoid top that originally belonged to Mal. Should he spin the top and it topples over, he is awake; if it continues to spin, then he is still dreaming. Arthur's totem is a weighted red die. The purpose of the loaded die is to make one side heavier than the rest; therefore when rolled the heavy side will flip down and only the opposite side can face up. Should the upright side of the die be different than the original, he will know he is dreaming. Ariadne's totem is a slightly hollowed-out golden bishop chess piece. She deliberately hollows it out to alter its weight and center of gravity, so that only she can know the exact weight and feel of her totem. Eames' totem is implied to be a red casino poker chip. The use of the poker chip is not entirely clear in the movie; however, it is thought that the chip will multiply in a dream when he rubs his fingers against it. ~
New to REDDIT but always have wondered other peoples “personal icons”.

Exploring the future - Syndicate

Previous thread(s)
Neutral
Monsters
Scoia'tael
Characters that are bold are some that I think could fit leader characters/reward trees (if they are painfully obvious like Northern monarchs then I won't highlight them just because there's so many). Of course you are free to disagree with my choices! (If they appear in multiple sections I will only highlight them once.)
Syndicate:
  • Missing leaders: Sigismund Dijkstra, Cyrus Hemmelfart, King of Beggars, Gudrun Bjornsdottir, Whoreson Junior, Cleaver
  • Unused card arts: Tuur
  • Vizima: Ramsmeat/Jeremiah Trick, Coleman, Mr Glover and his two pet wyverns, Angus, Jethro, Carmen, Raymond Maarloeve, Ralf Duben, Haren Brogg. Possibly Ori Reuven too.
  • Flotsam: Bernard Loredo, Marietta Loredo, Vencel Pugg, Dmitri, Louis Merse, Clovisse Merse, Margot, Arnolt Malliger, Alphonse and Myron, King Ziggy, Fioravanti, Vilmos Bartok.
  • Dijkstra's "gang": Sigi, Bart, Happen, Madame Serenity, Fonce, Vespula (she was working for Dijkstra at the bathhouse and also seemed to be getting in some trouble with Junior's goons). Sigi's henchmen also have various designs in W3, so the devs have things they could work with for bronzes.
  • Blindeyes: Hattori - it's criminal that Hattori and Sukrus can't be played in the same faction. For others maybe Paliga (a Novigradian pickpocket in one of the comics), Eustace, Elihal? There's also lots of Novigradian working girls that could fall under Blindeyes (such as Madame Serenity, Salma, Crippled Kate), but I gave them their own section later in this list.
  • Crownsplitters: Ernst van Hoorn, Ginter de Lavirac, Grun, Pup. Cleaver's business ventures like horse racing, or maybe even racing pigeons.
  • Cutups: Olgard, Vick, Junior's casino dealer (he didn't have a name in W3 afaik but that's an easy fix), possibly Gustav Roene. Novigrad has a zoo apparently, so wouldn't be surprised if some more exotic animals show up in the arena - Zanguebarian hyenas with their laughing would feel pretty fitting as Cutups, don't you think?
  • Tidecloaks: The Hairy Brothers from Junior's arena possibly. Sukrus's brother-in-law could maybe fit too.
  • Salamandra: Adda, Berengar, Azar's Koshchey, Angus, Vencel Pugg, Gavrilo, even Loredo affiliated with Salamandra remnants in Witcher 2 for his fisstech operation. The wiki mentions Louis Merse and Dmitri as being Salamandra, but from playing W2 I don't remember any explicit ties to Salamandra for those two myself but maybe I missed it.
  • Eternal Fire: Hieronymus Brunckhorst, Chappelle (both human and doppler), Reverend from W1, Odo, Hubert Rejk, Iron Mortimer, Fritz Kreft, Gilbert Witschke, Prochaska, Saint Gregory, Saint Anselm, Council of Electors. There is also the Temple Fleet, but maybe CDPR want to keep ships to the Tidecloak part.
  • Flaming Rose: Arthur Tailles, White Rayla, Polycarp of Rinde, Adalbert, Eric Vogel, Evariste of Metinna, Patrick de Wayze, Tybalt, Siegfried de Lowe, Supreme Council. More Fallen Knights: Tuur (we've seen leaked art for him), Fette de'Amin, Robbe, Ernst Goltz, Lewie, Thunder, Anselm, Antoine Pfeil, Peter Nayhaer.
  • Witch Hunts: Radovid, Triss, The Warden, Hubrecht, Dirk, Egbert, Yamurlak, Falka's Bed (witch hunter torture device mentioned in W3). Also mages/mage allies like Triss, Corinne Tilly, Arthur de Vleester, Kluhg, Moritz Diefenthal, Felicia Cori, Berthold, Anisse, Remi Villeroy, Albert Vegelbud, Olivier possibly. Worth mentioning that Triss was working for Dijkstra and King of Beggars at times, as they were helping the mages.
  • Jad Karadin's gang: Hammond is already in the game, so the remaining ones we know of are Jad, Lund, Vienne, Selyse (she also owns a brothel named Black Lily if it's relevant). Lund is also posing as a Novigradian councillor so he can continue criminal ventures without being caught as easily, which might also be a theme to expand on.
  • Borsodi auction house: Maximilian Borsodi, Max's (currently unnamed) brother, Abner de Navarette
  • Hearts of Stone heist: Eveline Gallo, Hugo Hoff, Quinto, Casimir Bassi, Otto Bamber, Maarten
  • Dwarven Bankers/Banks: Vivaldis: Vimme, Golan, Igor. Cianfanellis: Cosma, Nino, Giacomo, Amadeus. Molnar Giancardi, Gabron Zammorto.
  • Detective/Information agencies: Codringher and Jacob Fenn - for the right price the two would employ all sorts of shady tactics for their clients, and their clientele were often not the most honest of folk either. Also Raymond Maarloeve learned his trade from them, and is connected to Salamandra storyline. Victor Veritas/Truthseekers, since we have Walter maybe his father could appear too.
  • Working Girls: I suppose the Novigrad ones of these would probably fall under Blindeyes. Madame Serenity (she also worked with Dijkstra when he was planning his assassination of Radovid, so can fit Dijkstra's gang too), Salma, Whistling Wendy, Sweet Nettie, Crippled Kate, Narcissa, Amrynn, Viola, Mercia, Bertha, Suzy, One-Eyed Emmy, Carmen, Margot.
  • Mercenaries: Adrianna, Vincent Molnar, Hans of Cidaris, Nino Murk, Narsi Sattelbach, Ulster Hood. The Koviri mercenaries, like the Free Company with Adam Pangratt, Julia Abatemarco, Juan Gutierrez, Lorenzo Molla, could maybe fit too.
  • The Arts/Performances: Butcher's Yard, Irina Renarde, Madame Irina's Troupe (The Foxen), The Puffins, Callonetta (Priscilla), Crimson Avenger (Dandelion), Dudu, Abelard Rizza, Maxim Boliere, Sofus the Bull, Hal, Polly. Whoreson Senior apparently enjoyed the arts.
  • Monsters: Adda, Azar's Koshchey, Hubert, Chappelle, Janne the Imp, Salma, Bart, Glover's two pet wyverns, Pyral's Vigilosaur, possibly Little Red.
  • Novigradian families: Vegelbuds (Erasmus, Ingrid, Patricia, Albert, Luc), de Jonkheers (one of the de Jonkheers helped build Novigrad, later one of the descendents Rudolf de Jonkheer runs one of the biggest banks in Novigrad), var Attre (Henry, Rosa, Edna--more likely to be NG but they did live in Novigrad and Henry was mysteriously removed at end of beta), de Sepulvedas (Briana, Jacob, Xymena).
  • Kovir: Even though they don't entirely fit the crime side of the faction, they do fit the money side without question, especially Esterad Thyssen. The man was obsessed with coin. Plus, Kovir is defined by its profit and trade - money is their whole shtick, the same as Syndicate's. Both Kovir and Novigrad consider themselves neutral parties - Kovir is neutral kingdom, while Novigrad is the Free City not ruled by any king. When Esterad Thyssen aided NR he did so not through soldiers, but money through Hemmelfart that went onto Redania (and it wasn't even his own money that he used!). He released convicts from prison and sent them as mercenaries to aid in the war, not because he felt any sort of loyalty to the north, but because he wanted them to return after the war with lots of money for himself ("Cats always come home. Well, and when my cats return, when they bring their pay, their spoils, their riches... I shall tax them!"). The mercs (Sly Cats/Free Company) were in later years for hire for whomever would pay, such as Adam Pangratt working for Henselt and Dethmold in W2.
  • Aristide Vermuellen, Esterad's spymaster and son-in-law, worked with banks like Vivaldi and Cianfanelli. Dijkstra and Esterad were pretty fond of each other - and as above, it's very likely Hemmelfart and Esterad can be linked too. And speaking of Dijkstra he also broke Happen out of a Koviri prison, and his treasure was moved to a Koviri vault by Menge. Tancred accepted the mages fleeing Menge, and Esterad was distrustful of mages like Sile. Going back into the earlier days of Kovir, you have likes of Troyden or Scarab Thyssen, both of whom were considered slippery and shady individuals, Scarab being no better than bandit and robber. Ivo Mirce (aka Cicada) from Shard of Ice was also a wanted criminal in various Koviri cities. A more indepth list of Koviri characters will be in the NR list in a few days, but I think SY is a stronger possibility for Koviri content since it keeps them neutral between NR and NG as they like to be seen, while also fitting the money theme perfectly.
  • Merchant's Guild: Despite them not liking Salamandra (then again neither does Ramsmeat), they would fit the money theme, and Declan Leuvaarden employs all sorts of shady and illegal bribes, business ventures, and contacts. The organisation also has presence in Novigrad (unless it's a different one).
  • Other criminals: For these next few sections, it's totally possible that some of them could be put under gangs, I just am not gonna be the one to decide which and why. Ireneus var Steingard, Prince Adrien of the Sea Cat, Kiyan, Ralf Blunden (I know he was original basis for Professor but he could still get a card), Heimo Kantor, Little Yaxa, Michelet Brothers (Toublanc, Rizzi, Flavius, Lodovico), Bernard Tulle, Duke, Earl, Titus Gielas, Jerosa Fuerte/Needle, Blind Leon, Kranmer and Kwintensen, Lussi the Fox, Pyral Pratt, Antea Derris, Mikita, Pyral's Vigilosaur.
  • Others: Dainty Biberveldt, Ther Lukokian (Truffle), Joachim von Gratz, Walthemor Mitty, Henckel, Joachim Schwann, Marcus TK Hodgson, Henri Rautlec, Fabian Meyer, Gus Meyer, Muskrat, Beau Berrant, Bertrand Wirtz, Eberhartt of Rivia, Drofuss, Horvath. Issa, Tekla. Javil Fysh, Petru Cobbin, Kevenard van Vliet, Pudlorak, Boxcray, Parlaghy. Bea, Wolverstone, Liglad. Herbercks (Bruno, Lotta, Petunia), Detchka, Gunter Craggs, Marabella.
  • Fistfighting: Zdenek, Claytop, Durden the Tailor, Iron Mortimer, Archibald O'Neil, Georgius 'Piledriver' Georg, King Ziggy, Twigs, Matho, Smugface, Fat Fred, Butter Bean, Andrew Gablodda, The Rock (lol)
  • Possibly something from Zerrikania too: It's possible Dijkstra established some sort of ties and connections in Zerrikania while he was a fugitive. He also won Bart from a camel merchant there.
  • Locations: Temple Isle (Firesworn), Silverton, Gildorf, Farcorners (Crownsplitters), The Bits (Cutups), Harborside (Tidecloaks), Lacehalls (Blindeyes), Hierarch Square (Witch Hunters), Butcher's Yard, Dijkstra's Bathhouse, Junior's Arena, Putrid Grove, Deireadh Prison, Flotsam
It was interesting to me how much I found for Syndicate. I was expecting it to be a little light on future possibilites, but I think it has a healthy amount still to work with.
Thanks for reading! Tomorrow will be the Empire's day!

Round Concept: Rushin' Roulette (Race)

Round Concept: Rushin' Roulette (Race)
"Avoid the obstacles and complete 5 laps on the big roulette!"
Rushin' Roulette puts a spin on the classic race formula, with players completing multiple laps of a circuit instead of on a straightforward obstacle course. In this case, the course is a giant roulette wheel divided into three parts: the inner, middle, and outer rings.
  • As everyone knows, the inside track of a circle is shorter, so the inner section of the wheel is designed to slow players down and be riskier. For example, the most common version has each section divvied up by walls that players must jump over.
  • The main ring contains the fewest obstacles but lacks the boost from the inner or outer paths. Obstacles for this segment can include Pressure Washers (see Clam Up) or floor launchers.
  • The outer ring is the longest route, so to compensate, the outer ring spins forward like an actual roulette wheel. However, there is a risk to this path as well. A roulette ball will spin along this route, so players must weave into the main ring periodically to avoid it.
Occasionally, the outer ring will stop spinning and the ball will roll down through the main ring into an inner segment. It will then disappear and be dropped back in via a chute as the out ring begins spinning again.

Player Distribution
Because the track is so small and the rings are so different, starting in the front row or closer to a ring may give too much of an advantage. My main solution is to have players start at different positions around the course, possibly in groups of 3-6. The finish line for each player is marked by a glow that only they can see. This makes it more likely for players to interact as the faster players pass the slow ones.
The Casino Heist Set:
Check out my other ideas!

History
This one started out as a Fruit Chute type race called Whirlpool. The course was a funnel with conveyors or "flowing" slippery suds that spiraled down into a pit at the center. The start and finish lines were on platforms on the outer edge. They were near each other, but the finish line was "upstream". Players would either have to go against the current avoiding obstacles or take the long way around following the current. You could also get a shorter path by going close to the center, but this risked getting sucked into the pit.
My idea to do a roulette wheel came during the creation of the Easter Egg Hunt, with a roulette dispersing eggs randomly. This was eventually re-worked into Egg Roll, which can be found in the same post.
Next, Rushin' Roulette was a giant roulette wheel, where the whole ring spun. A coin dispenser up above would drop coins, and players would have to collect them to score points (similar to jumping through hoops in Ski Fall). Players would have to run against the spin of the wheel to stay under the dispenser or go the long way around to wind up back under it. (A little bit of this idea snuck its way into Egg Noggin.)
Then I had another idea as a Survival round players were on a roulette table, with a roulette wheel down below. The roulette wheel would select slots and players standing on those selected slots would fall down into the wheel. You would have to avoid the ball (instant elimination) while trying to earn your way back up to the table by grabbing coins... if this sounds complicated and not fun, that is because it is. MediaTonic did this better in Snowball Survival.
Eventually, I just went with a race around a roulette wheel using Whirlpool's idea. Occam's razor. I kept the idea of dodging the ball from the Survival round. Instead of having the whole ring spin, I divided it up into segments. I played around with having holes in the center, but that always ended up too easy to jump over or too frustrating if you fell in and had to start the lap over (maybe a variant someday). Instead, I created the dividing walls.
And that's the history of this one round. Man, this part is longer than the rest of the post. I guess that's just the process.

[WTS] World silver coins: Canada, Germany, South and Central America, 5 Grain Bars, etc. (some below spot)

Shipping
Shipping is $4 tracked for up to 8 oz and at cost for any amount above within lower 48. For shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO, or US territories I will have to specifically determine the rate which will be at cost. I can ship anything less than $20 in value, less than 3 oz in weight, and not too bulky in a stamped envelope for $1.10, however there will be no tracking. Please note that anything in a 2x2 may be taped over for risky shipped. I will ship outside the US, but the rate will have to be specifically determined. It looks like world wide shipping would start at $9 for Canada and $11 for all other countries if you want tracking. With USPS experiencing historic delays and a plethora of other issues, I will not ship out of the country without tracking. Once I deposit packages in a USPS receptacle, you are at the mercy of USPS and as they are in responsible charge of the delivery, you should take up any issues with USPS.

Payment
I accept Google Pay, Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, and PPGS. I will not take PPFF as I do not wish to get my account suspended. Leave the comments section blank for all payment methods. Not that you should be making any comments anyways, but I cannot stress this enough DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MENTION CUBA OR IRAN. Buyer pays applicable fees on all payment methods. Note that the fees for Venmo, Google Pay, Zelle, and Cashapp are ZERO. Note that the fee for PPGS is +3% of order total +$0.30. I will no longer accept checks or money orders.

https://old.reddit.com/message/compose?to=pikey_mikey&subject=&message=

If I don’t get timely responses or timely payment, I will sell the coins/notes to the next interested party. I believe my prices to be fair as they are based off of Ebay sold listings and community market trends. Reasonable offers are welcome, but I don’t have much room if any to negotiate on smaller purchases. Offers of spot will not be tolerated. If I want to sell it at spot, it will be listed as such.

I still have plenty of old sales that are still active. I can work on the prices and combine shipping if you are so inclined as to look up any old sales.

Simple Lore comparison of both the NCR's and Legion's currency

NCR 5 dollar bill is only worth 2 caps
Legion silver Denarius is worth 4 caps
That's 2 more of the base value of what the NCR 5 dollar bill can afford. Now lets check the highest.
NCR 100 dollar bill is only worth 40 caps.
Legion gold Aureus is worth 100 caps.
That's 60 more of the base value of what the NCR 100 dollar bill can afford.
Unlike Legion currency however, the NCR has a third denomination of a 20 dollar bill which is worth 8 caps. Still, the ceilings of both of their highest currencies available to the markets edges in favor of the Legion over the NCR dollar with the Aureus having a higher purchasing power in regards to commercial activity.
sources;
[By 2281, the NCR dollar is valued at about 40% of a water-backed cap[6] and only 10% of a silver Legion Denarius.](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/NCR_dollars)
[Legion currency](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Legion_Denarius)
[NCR currency](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/NCR_dollars)
Dialogue points from merchant or merchant adjunct entities to substantiate probable currency values decided by the Wasteland market;
>Dale Barton: "Hell, I don't even need to travel with guards most of the time in Legion territory. All the bandits are dead or run off."

>Dale Barton: "Between having to hire protection and getting slapped with taxes, it's more profitable to stick to Arizona and New Mexico."

>Rose Sharon of Cassidy: "Some caravans deal with the Legion now because the security. If towns could get the same protection? A lot more tempting than you'd think. Bunch of people would be willing to side with the Legion to not have to worry about Fiends and Boomers and Powder Ganger attacks."

>The Courier: "You don't get paid in Caps?"
>Chomp Lewis: "Nope. The NCR's been trying to switch over to using paper money, like in the Pre-War days. Trouble is that the exchange rates ain't exactly fair. For example, a hundred bucks in NCR money is valued at roughly half that in caps around here. Seems like a rotten deal for us, but work is work."

>The Courier: "What can you tell me about New Vegas?"
>Chomp Lewis: "I've been there once, and I don't recommend it. It's just a way to burn through a month's pay in five minutes*. I've seen a lot of folks come through here thinking they'll have the easy life once they get there. It never happens."*
From one of the developers:
>J.E Sawyer: "And this is discussed in-game: BoS raided NCR's gold reserves until NCR could no longer generate gold coinage nor back their paper money. They abandoned the gold standard and established fiat currency, which is why its value is inflated over both caps and (especially) Legion coinage. (...) People in eastern NCR and the Mojave Wasteland lost faith in the NCR government's a) ability to back the listed value of paper money and b) stability overall. If you're living in Bakersfield, staring at a piece of paper that says "redeemable for value in gold" and you have no faith in the government's ability or willingness to do that -- or if you see that the government has changed the currency to say that it is not able to be exchanged for a backed good -- you may very well listen to the strong consortium of local merchants offering to exchange that paper note for currency backed by water."

The Tops Vegas Casino exchange rates for in-house playing Chips;
Note: With a double check, all the Casino cashiers in Vegas have the same exchange dialogue, barring the type of greeting they give depending on the chosen locale. That means the exchange rates for all Vegas Casinos are standardized and consistent.
NCR
2 chips for 5$ NCR
8 chips for 20$ NCR
40 chips for 40$ NCR
Legion
4 chips for 1 Legion Denarius
20 chips for 5 Legion Denarii
40 chips for 10 Legion Denarii
80 chips for 20 Legion Denarii
100 chips for 1 Legion Aureus or 25 Legion Denarii

EDIT: To even nip this in the butt further, some comments here say that Precious Commodities don't have intrinsic value. If that is the case in regards to the NCR being discussed here, why by the time of FO2 was the lowest denominator of their currency, 1$ dollar, was in Gold Coins?

$1 NCR - The Fallout Wiki (fandom.com)

The NCR never or had any contingencies to shore-up their currency to a fiat one at all if the most basic unit of their internal monetary exchange was Gold Coins. If that were the case they would've had pure paper money to begin with without these Coins being in circulation in Fallout 2; with all Gold being in their reserve purely being for backing only, but this isn't the case as we observe.
With the absence of their most basic unit of exchange being gone and the 5$ paper note being demoted to the new basic unit of their currency, that's a huge amount of unaccounted inflation off the bat; inflation they could've never prepared for since they valued Gold enough as a natural unit of exchange at such a base level to be circulated. They didn't expect the BoS to hit them that hard or anyone to do so with their perceived control of their core territory; nevermind the facts that its very unstable and unlucrative to deal in with raiders they can't hunt down with lack of dedicated manpower and poll taxes.

Precious vs Fiat currencies have staunch differences that can't be reconciled in the context of the Fallout universe and a general post-apocalypse. Precious Commodities are backed by simple human consensus of its natural properties being of worth and desirable for a monetary unit of exchange.
These can be traded and exchanged easily with a readily agreed upon value along with Caps because they are accepted by almost every post-war Tribal group, Wasteland settlement, independent Traders, and most other polities across America. Its supply is also naturally in nature, not manufactured artificially with Fiat money note printing.
(In the Fallout series, we see some form of international travel is still somewhat possible with characters such as Alistar Tenpenny and in Fallout 4 with multiple characters from other continents. Take Gold from the US and bring it to the British Isles, it will still have ready value no matter what. Take simple Fiat bank notes of a faction in the US to say, the Fallout version of West Africa. It would absolutely have no value because the issuer of that tender back in North America literally has no economic influence to back its money in this region miles away; there is no Demand or recognition for it. Conversely with Gold taken from North America and traveling to Fallout West Africa, it has tradeable value no matter what because Gold is a natural unit of exchange from its recognized natural value by humans.)
Fiat currency is only as strong as a nation-state can legitimize and maintain it. The only Fiat currency at the time of New Vegas taking place is NCR currency, which is doing badly from the aforementioned factors of the top of this post. The NCR IS a nation of some sort, but it isn't in the league of pre-war society statehoodship.
It doesn't have the financial instruments or development of robust monetary institutions to handle Fiat when they've have been on a Gold economy all this time and the value of the NCR dollar has plummeted due to lack of Demand with its sudden absence. The only reason why the NCR dollar had high worthiness was due to the inherent value of Gold they had on reserve in a post-apocalyptic society that has an extremely high assessment of value it.
With the Gold-backed era of the NCR (supported in FO2 with Gold Coins directly in circulation and being exchanged), Caps were practically worthless in the NCR territory as comments here note. Now with Gold out of the equation as we can observe with direct evidence, the highest focal point of NCR currency isn't even worth 40% of Cap currency by the end of the NCR-BoS war.
Double Edit: The whole reason why the resource wars in the Fallout universe happened because the main natural mineral resource, Oil, was almost all depleted entirely- in an international society where almost all the pre-war Nations were Oil based economies. Without Oil we see in numerous cases in Fallout in the post-war landscape with products with exorbitant prices due to rampart inflation with money that had no value.
[This](https://www.reddit.com/Fallout/comments/3x9cqj/how_inflated_was_the_prewar_economy_some_of_the/cy348gl?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) comment here from 4 years ago from the main Fallout subreddit goes into the context of the universe.
In the very intro of the first Fallout game, we see on the TV in the ruined building that is still running- a common non-luxury car is worth 200,000 dollars.
Regular Gas in pre-war Fallout America was 1450.99$
Premium Gas was 8500.99$
To note, America was only one of the nations still with a minutiae of Oil left, but here are the prices.

The Mechanical Pony toy seen in Fallout 3 costs 16,000$.

Are you new to HUT? About to fire it up for the first time? Here’s a guide for you! ... and tips at the verrryyyy end!!

Knowing the Menus

There’s a bunch of things to do in HUT under different categories they are ...
• HUT Central
• Solo Play
• Online

• Team
Each of these have various things underneath them, so let’s talk about them.
HUT CENTRAL
First off we have a scroll-through menu on what new content is out.
New content; packs, and players gets released every week day at 5pm EST , unless it’s a Holiday - then we’ll get the content a day earlier.
You will see when the content is out of packs by the timer and the date on the banner shown - Winterinternational Players released Monday were a week long to pull.
We will see new events come into HUT bi-weekly. This event ends soon, so we will see a new Event next Friday at 5pm EST.
Team of the Weeks are Wednesdays at 5pm EST. Available for the Week.
HUT RUSH
What else is there on HUT Central? You can go directly to HUT RUSH game mode by going to the banner using the left stick, highlighting it and clicking “X” or “A”.
HUT Rush is 2 game modes , normally one is Traditional Hockey gamestyle, and other is Arcade Hockey gamestyle with “moneypuck” attached.
Play games, win, get points, rank up in tiers. Get rewards - instantly. You can net 18.5k in coins, and 2 and a half gold collectables normally — or 100 Gold Players for 3 Gold Collectables, once. — willl talk about later. This is a limited time set, ending Tuesday @5pm EST.
Objectives / Milestones
You will also be available to see what Objectives / Milestones are close to completion. Click on this, and you will be shown the “Daily” Objectives. If you do all these, you get a Monthly Collectable, and 1,250 coins for the day.
Weekly Objectives are the same thing, finish all those up within a weeks time (Friday at 5pm EST - Friday at 5pm EST) and get a cool 5k, plus an Untradable Premium Pack - worth 7,500 coins.
Milestones have infinite time, do those for coins, players, packs. Do them all? Get yourself an Icon or Gold Collectable. — I’ll talk about these later.

Solo Play

Under Solo Play there is Squad Battles , and Challenges.
What is Squad Battles?
Squad Battles is playing your team against the A.I. for points. The higher difficulty; rookie, semi-pro, pro, all-star, superstar - and opponents OVR - i.e., 77 or 88 - the more points you can obtain. To get max points, score 5 goals, and have 20 shots on net. Points will increase as more people play, and get updated weekday, 5pm EST. The more games you play, and win the higher the rank you will get. Aim for at least Pro 2 , which is 4-5 games.** Squad Battles resets on Wednesday - 5pm EST and you will receive your rewards on Thursday at 5pm EST. —- some people still don’t know this, so have that memorized and you’ll know more than some people.
Squad Battles affects your win-loss ratio, and Players Stats
Squad Battles rewards you in Tradable Packs, Coins, and HUT Sweats CHAMPS points
Challenges
Challenges are a great way to earn a coin stack, and receive free packs - usually earned at the second last - last challenge in the “Event Challenges”. You will also receive Monthly Collectables throughout doing the Event Challenges.
If you opt not to do these Event Challenges, there are “offline” challenges to do - Starting at Rookie, and ending in Superstar you can net a free 200k for doing them all!! It is time consuming, but it’s 200k worth!
Challenge Coin Tiered

Online

Rivals Mode
What is Rivals?
Rivals is playing against people online. PS+ or Xbox Membership is required in order to play online.
Play your first 5 games, get entered into a Division.
Do well - win lots in a row, and you’ll be able to go up in Divisions. This gives yourself better, and bigger rewards. Want to get those rewards in a higher tier, but you’re afraid you’ll lose the division? Hold off, and don’t play. Rivals resets Tuesdays at 5pm EST, Rewards available Wednesday at 5pm EST.
Each game gives you points, as well. You get more points winning than losing, duh. More points will net you better rewards for the week. I normally just aim for Gold.
You can choose from Tradable packs, Untradable packs (2 times the amount as tradable) or coins.
Play a friend
You can play your friend in HUT. They will obviously use their HUT team, and you’ll use yours. You can use expired loan players in this. Make up your own rules, and have fun!

Auction House

Buy players, jerseys, logos, coaches, arenas, cellys, jersey numbers, goalie masks in the Auction House. You can also sell your own, as well. Simply click on the “Auction House” . You can change the category by clicking “X/A” and scroll over to your designated category you want to buy. - Also filter out the things if you want a specific player, or event.
You will have the option to click down and sell players, view them in the next tab and see how much time is left, and also see what price they go for at the very end at the “Sell Transactions” - it will show you what you’ve sold, and by clicking “R2/RT” you will have a timestamp, going back a week, month, year, or all-time. Clicking “L2/LT” you will see your sold items, and expired items — if they didnt sell they’ll go here.
• Since you are new?? There is a “Market Crash” happening right now. Load yourself up with “Base” 84+ cards for cheap - Mackinnon, Kane, McDavid - best Base player - Hedman, Vasilevskiy, etc., —- Tall goalies are “meta” , as well as “speedy” players. —
I would also suggest buying TOTW Players, they will rebound in price.
Sets
Do your re-rolls what even is a “re-roll” ? A reroll is trading in 8 of a specific “level” to 2 of the “next level” players. For example 8 Bronze Players to 2 Silver Players. 8 Silver Players to 2 Gold Players. Lastly, we have 8 Gold Players to 2 Gold Players with one being an 80+ Player. I would not suggest doing the Gold -> Gold reroll
You can also trade in Monthly Collectables you get from the Daily login for a Free Gold Collect / Icon. This costs 30 Monthly Collectables. You can also get packs, or a 80-82 player. You can get 2 per day - Daily Pack you get every 24hrs, plus doing the Daily Challenges.
When a player gets 50 Gold Players, you can lock those into a Gold or Icon Collectable. Each will help your team in various ways, lets look at it.
There is a set right now under “Winterinternational” where you trade in 100 Gold Players to 3 Gold Collectables, I highly suggest this, especially as a new player - redeemable twice
—- The Winterinternational Collectables from the Event Challenges gives you a free Gold Collectable or helps with building a 91/92 random player, or specific player. For the free Gold Collectable you need 21 Winterinternational Collectables. —
Icon Collectable - Untradable Master Icons. 1 Icon Collectable is an 85 Master Icon. There’s 84-89 OVR Master Icons available. Each one requires more and more Icon Collectables.
—- Master Icons will eventually go to 99 OVR. Will require more Icons. Lower OVR Icons will need more Icons to get to Max OVR - 99. Higher Icons - Gretz / Lem. will require less.
To get Lemieux / Gretzy it is 7? Icon Collectables.
Gold Collectables - Tradable / Untradable Event Master Set Players (MsPs). Less Gold Collectables will net you an Untradable MSP , More Gold Collectables will net you a Tradable MSP. You can also get yourself specific 92 MsPs this event by doing their tasks. — They are Untradable. —
Normally I go Tradable, and sell them for more coins. This allows you to build your favourite team the fastest.

Team

Store
Also under this is “Store” . Right now until Tuesday at 5pm EST you can get a free 90 OVR player! What a great way to start! Just pick your favourite one - THERE IS NO WRONG CHOICE!!
Seriously grinds my gears seeing a post “what 90 is the best” “who should I choose?” It is YOUR GAME! What works for others , may not work for you. Pick YOUR FAVOURITE!
Base & Premium Packs are always there. Base packs are 5k coins, Premium Packs are 7.5k coins. Every other weekday we will see a new pack enter the store. New Events bring more packs, containing specific stuff. One guarantees a Gold Collectable, and a Winterinternational Player. Since Boxing Day is today, there are packs out for it!! These packs end on Monday at 5pm EST.
A player can also buy packs by purchasing “points” to purchase points, click the Triangle or Y button in the store.
To see how much a pack is in “points” it is the Green Circle “Pucks” besides the coins. Currently the guaranteed Winterinternational and Gold Collectable pack is $25.

Respect Red Jacket Lupin the 3rd! (Lupin the 3rd Part 2)

"That just means the game isn't over yet! The goddess of victory will smile upon me, Lupin III!"
Required listening for this thread
Lupin III is the grandson of Arsène Lupin. He is the world's most wanted gentleman thief. Lupin is acknowledged by virtually every law agency on earth as the world's number one thief. Often in his adventures, he and his colleagues, Daisuke Jigen and Goemon Ishikawa XIII, will take it upon themselves to foil other criminals engaged in more violent crimes. While first glance may imply Lupin as fun-loving, flighty, perhaps even "goofy", his surface façade overcoats a brilliant imagination and a thorough knowledge of a hundred varying sciences. Forever extemporizing and reevaluating, Lupin has been responsible for heists no right-minded individual would believe possible. While arrested and jailed on numerous occasions, typically by his nemesis Inspector Zenigata, he has always managed to escape. He has a fondness for fancy gadgets from time to time plus hands-on experience in many skills a thief would find useful. His infatuation with Fujiko Mine is perhaps his most significant weakness, as it lands him in undesirable situations most of the time.

Equipment

Exactly what it sounds like. They are released to distract the motion sensors of an extremely secure museum
A rapidly expanding airbag.
Lupin's trademark blue and white boxer shorts double as an emergency parachute.
A small bomb that detonates when shot by Jigen.
A set of balloons that lift an Egyptian death mask display. Lupin also has a larger set they used to steal the Statue of Liberty
A briefcase containing a rapidly expanding balloon filled with knockout gas.
A small, golden coin with his face on it. When thrown, releases a giant Lupin-shaped dummy.
Several large barrels of explosive liquid set off by flaming rags.
A massive hang-glider shaped like a bat.
A grenade that, upon contact, expands into a massive blow up doll.
A decorative bracelet with a wire/chain on the end.
A pair of wings and an engine that extend from a handheld briefcase.
A massive bubble that protects Lupin from traps.
A nearly invisible hang-glider.
A small, silver ball that emits a loud bang, a burst of light, and rainbow confetti.
A large, green balloon with Lupin's face on it.
A paddleboat hidden within a larger boat's hull. The boat also has a large engine on the back
Several duck-shaped bombs that are capable of sinking large ships. They do not discern what they're blowing up, however, and can be dangerous. They can also be hidden
A dummy head that when stomped emits a thick smokescreen.
A dummy large enough for Lupin to hide inside. Can expand enough to lift a large truck
An electric gun developed by the same scientist who invented Lightsabers. Can cut through bullet proof glass, lift a store's worth of jewels and helps pull a building apart. It also instantly KOs Zenigata
Includes exploding chewing gum, exploding cigarettes, exploding cigars, an explosive hat an exploding head, a exploding lighter, a exploding mask, exploding navigation stick, an explosive suit, an explosive tooth, and an explosive watch
One of Lupin's left molars. Has a brevity of uses including a remote control for one of his vehicles, a computer that can analyze any drugs he's given, a pair of robotic arms that can throw the drugs back, a radio, and a lockpick
A small aerosol can that allows Lupin to lift fingerprints from a glass.
A small grenade that lets off a colorful explosion.
A remotely-controlled flying car. It manages to lift off the ground but nothing else.
A small device that opens a miniature black hole when used.
A grenade with a powerful knockout gas. Works fast enough to cover an entire oil rig in seconds.
A massive, propelled dummy of Lupin and Jigen that explodes with a giant boom and flash
A rocket fired from an RPG that, when detonated, sprays glue strong enough to stick several large ships together.
Pieces needed to assemble a working go-kart.
A small hang-glider that carries a single missile.
A standard hearse that turns into a helocopter.
A horse capable of outrunning several jeeps, dodging bullets, and running across a small ladder. Lupin has a way with animals that allows him to frequently use them in his escapes. Also he got a horse to do this once. I don't feel like trying to explain it.
A standard jetpack.
A pair of shoes which turn into personal jetpacks when activated by tapdancing. They can also be used offensively and for escapes
A small kusari-gama capable of swinging a car back onto an icy road
Works as a lighter and also can emit a powerful knockout gas. Also explodes when dynamite is strapped to it, as most things do and works as a communicator
A powerful drug slipped into Zenigata's drink.
A pair of magnetic hand grips that assist in climbing.
Standard marbles or ball bearings used to make a pursuer lose their footing.
A small kite able to carry Lupin.
A mini oxygen tank shaped like a cigarette.
A fleet of tiny RC cars, all remotely controlled by Lupin. Comes in Red, Green, and Yellow.
A breathing device kept in Lupin's jacket.
A gun that fires a suction cup dart that once attached pierces a glass window. It goes on to attach itself to a safe's dial. Lupin can control the dart remotely, cracking a safe from outside the room
A helicopter controlled by a small joystick.
Similar to his helicopter except it is controlled by a Gameboy-like controller.
A riding crop that fires miniature tranquilizer darts.
A bright light attached to a ring on Lupin's finger.
A pair of robotic legs that can be attached to an object. Strong enough to make a statue run through a wall.
A device hidden within an elevator that causes it to turn into a high powered rocket.
A pair of weights fired from an rpg. Used to wrap around submarines to weigh them down.
A small device created by Lupin that instantly cracks a safe.
A small silver sticker that delivers a massive shock "bigger than a stun gun"
A pair of knives fired from the tips of Lupin's shoes.
A small transmitter in Lupin's shoe that signals a nearby biplane. The plane has a large bomb attached to it.
A silver copy of Lupin's signature weapon. Lupin states it is "only for threatening".
An immediately effective sleeping aerosol.
Creates a thick smoke for quick escapes.
A pack of cigarettes that react when dropped in water to create a thick smokescreen.
A small bomb that can stick to any surface. The adhesive is strong enough a grown man cannot remove it and the explosion is large enough to topple a massive statue.
A car that doubles as a submarine with the flip of a switch. Allows Lupin and the gang to avoid a missile.
A pistol-sized gun that fires a suction cup on a rope. Strong enough to lift a man.
A car that can be driven from either the front or the rear.
Adhesive bombs with a set timer.
An umbrella that grows in size and operates that a helicopter's blades.
A small bomb that causes a big boom.
Allow Lupin to see hollow spots underground.
A propelled underwater vehicle. When surfacing, turns into a raft
A small machine Lupin wears around one of his teeth.
A small camera inside Lupin's watch. Can take and print photos.
Different from his normal grappling hook, this is attached to a pistol-like controller that reels it in.
A small dart fired from Lupin's watch that emits a trackable signal.
A sword made of pressurized water. Stated to be as "hard as diamond". During their duel, the blade cuts a door in half
A pair of wings that protrude from Lupin's car allowing it to glide.
A wingsuit.
A pocket-sized yo-yo.

That is the situation the bullion banks do not want! MUST READ! #SilverSqueeze Underway? Bullion banks have fear!

#SilverSqueeze Underway?
by: Clint Siegner
The populist movement to punish Wall Street is turning its focus to silver. The markets may finally force more honest price discovery. That would certainly be welcomed by metals investors long frustrated by concerns about price suppression.
Silver prices are pushed around by a handful of the world’s largest banks. The captured regulators and the Department of Justice (For the Well Connected) have done little to curb the cheating, despite piles of evidence.
The bullion banks, with their friends in government, seem to get away with coordinated take-downs of speculative longs who are daring enough to buy futures contracts or options.
It helped that the precious metals sector was ignored by a large portion of the investing public and that most people were inclined to believe exchanges, like the COMEX, are under proper oversight.
That has changed a lot, especially in the past year.
The 7.5 million members of the Reddit board Wall Street Bets are part of an honest money/anti-Wall Street movement which is building steam.
Last spring, investors bought record amounts of physical bullion. Sales of coins, rounds, and bars accelerated again in January. Demand went parabolic last Thursday when the call to buy silver began to go viral.
The movement, should it succeed, would create true price discovery for silver.. The bullion bankers have capped prices by selling hundreds of ounces of paper silver for every ounce they have in physical bar form. About 8 firms, including some of the world’s largest banks, have a leveraged short position representing more than 400 million ounces.
They may be unable to deliver anywhere near that quantity if contract holders start demanding the metal. The idea is to force them to buy physical bars to meet delivery obligations. At that point, the jig is up.
However, it is critical that investors not try to beat the bullion bankers at their own game. People joining this movement should buy physical metal only and avoid futures or other derivatives purporting to represent silver.
The Hunt Brothers learned that lesson the hard way in 1980. They bought futures contracts and demanded delivery of every ounce.
When the banks couldn’t deliver, the COMEX and the regulators exercised the option that exists in the rules to force cash settlements of delivery obligations. They also disallowed new orders to buy. Only orders to sell were accepted. When only sellers were allowed in the “market,” prices collapsed.
The Hunts were vilified for trying to “corner the market,” but it was the banks and regulators who were bad actors.
The Wall Street Bets crowd is re-learning that lesson now as to Gamestop. Brokerages are limiting position sizes and buy orders.
If you are buying a conventional paper security on a Wall Street exchange, you are playing in a rigged casino and should not always expect to get a fair shake. This includes investors buying shares or options in the silver ETFs or in silver mining companies.
The good news is the campaign to break the bullion banks’ hold over the silver market can win, if investors buy physical metal instead. Buying physical bullion is not like buying shares of Gamestop where investors are subject to arbitrary and fast changing rules designed to protect the banks, hedge funds, and brokerages.
Wall Street built the futures markets and other metals derivatives to capture and control the demand for precious metals.
Their system works so long as investors keep playing – believing the paper they buy actually represents some sort of claim on underlying physical metal.
The offtake of millions of ounces of silver as refiners and mints convert COMEX bars into retail bullion products combined with rising numbers of futures contract holders standing for delivery of bars could be a deadly combination.
Remember, the silver shorts are using extraordinary leverage. Hundreds of ounces have been sold for every ounce sitting in a vault.
As long as people focus on accumulating physical metal, there may not be much the bullion banks can do about it other than squeal.

Jan/3/2021 news: __ Top-10 anti corruption charges of 2020 __ POW & search __ Russian aid __ Refugees return __ Protecting the church __ Artsakh's international recognition __ Oil & gas news __ Chess & soccer events __ Guinness World Record __ Importing more Iranian products __ Syunik borders __

Your 7-minute Sunday report in 1743 words.

10 notable anti-corruption cases in 2020

10) SIS concluded the investigation of former president Serj Sargsyan's alleged embezzlement of ֏500 million in agricultural subsidies in 2013. Serj appeared in court as a defendant in February. The case continues.
9) ex-HHK MP and ex-Soccer Federation Chief Ruben Hayrapetyan (oligarch Nemets Rubo) was charged with large-scale embezzlement. In February, he was charged with embezzling $1.5 million-worth lands belonging to the Soccer Federation. (he was earlier implicated in the case about organizing the kidnapping, extortion, and torturing of a man who allegedly stole from his restaurant)
8) ex-Yerevan Mayor and Transport Minister HHK Gagik Beglaryan was charged with embezzling ֏230 million in state property. He was also interrogated as part of a ֏23 billion embezzlement in the North-South highway construction project. His brother is implicated in a ֏85 million embezzlement case.
7) ex-Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan (wanted) and ex Israel Ambassador Armen Smbatyan (paid a bail) are charged with using an offshore scheme to embezzle the state property.
6) Serj Sargsyan's brother Alexander was a defendant in the case of the 14 stolen paintings by Martiros Saryan. Pashinyan announced that Alexander's $30 million bank account was frozen. Alexander agreed to return the funds to state coffers. $26 million was recovered. $7.5 million was recovered as part of Martiros Saryan's painting case. Another $19 million was recovered -- or as he says, "donated" -- for the army modernization.
5) Powerful Churchman Archbishop Kchoyan (Bentley guy) was charged as part of an investigation of the forceful appropriation of another businessman's property by using an offshore firm, which was run by several individuals, including the churchman and allegedly the former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. More on that here.
4) Felony case was launched over the purchase of $42 million in weapons that turned out to be dysfunctional. Pashinyan mentioned this on several occasions, blaming the former regime for "wasting resources instead of developing the army." More recently, Pashinyan criticized General Movses "Mosi" Hakobyan, saying the waste took place under his administration.
3) Serj Sargsyan's chief bodyguard Vachagan Ghazaryan and his alleged accomplices had their felony tax-evasion charges dropped after compensating ֏3 billion ($6.3 million) to state coffers.
2) Serj's son-in-law Mikael Minasyan (Povar Ishik) was charged by IRS in March after the "revelation of an unprecedented level of corruption in modern Armenian history". Minasyan is accused of illegal enrichment. The investigation continues. Minasyan is residing in Russia, which won't extradite him due to close connections.
Details on Mishik's case here, here, here, here (laptop recovered with 9000 files), here, here, here, here, maybe here, definitely here, here, here,
1) BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan was charged with organizing an election fraud during 2017 and financial crimes by his casino Shangri La. The investigation began in late 2019 after a construction firm, with ties to Tsarukyan, paid a bribe to a Yerevan official in an unrelated incident. Tsarukyan likely learned about the pending charges against him and launched a major opposition campaign against Pashinyan, to then frame his charges as "political persecution" for being critical to the government.

protecting the church from Satanists

Former HHK MPs Shawarmazanov, Vahram Baghdasaryan, Masis Mayor, and their supporters gathered in front of Ejmiatsin cathedral to show support for the church leader Garegin B. The church was lately criticized for being politically-motivated; it has been accused of acting as the former regime's puppet for several years now.
The former MPs condemned the "attacks" and said, "no Satanists can divide our church because it has been our protector for thousands of years."

Iranian & Chinese products to replace Turkish

Armenia will import 2250 types of products from Iran instead of Turkey, amid the 6-month ban on Turkish product imports. "This will be a good opportunity for Iranian producers. In the next step, [Armenia] will supply its required raw materials from Iran," said the chief of the Iranian trade agency.
The govt had earlier met Chinese representatives to discuss the replacement of other Turkish items with Chinese ones.

border "demarcation" process continues in Syunik

The process to install Armenian and Azeri troops continues on the new borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in the Syunik province. The border was formerly Syunik (Armenia) - Qashatag (formerly Artsakh).
Syunik's Shurnukh and Vorotan were built on the immediate internationally-recognized border, and some of them were on the Azeri side. As a result, a dozen buildings will go under Azeri control. Shurnukh village mayor complained about losing several houses and Azeris being too close.
Syunik governor said border guards have been installed in areas surrounding Shurnukh. Russian and Armenian guards are placed in certain parts of this 21 km border.

POWs

European Court for Human Rights has approved a petition by Armenia to implement emergency measures to require Azerbaijan to share information about the conditions of 23 POWs.
"So far, such petitions were approved for 80 POWs, 18 of whom have already returned home," said Armenia's representative in Court.
Armenia's HR Ombudsman Tatoyan criticized Aliyev for calling Armenian POW soldiers "terrorists" and for keeping them arrested, which delays the swap process.

[WTS] World silver coins: Canada, Germany, South and Central America, 5 Grain Bars, etc (some below spot)

Please note the following new stipulation: I will only accept Zelle, Cashapp, or Google Pay for purchases under $50. Purchases of $50 or more may utilize any of the listed payment methods including PPGS and Venmo.

Other Notes
No trades at this time. I generally only ship on weekdays, so purchases on Friday through Sunday will ship out on Monday at the earliest. Additional pics available upon request for coins over $5. I don’t have the time to mess around taking more pictures of coins less than $5 in value. DO NOT SEND CHATS, I WILL NO LONGER ANSWER THEM. Please use the link below to send me a private message.

https://old.reddit.com/message/compose?to=pikey_mikey&subject=&message=

Please no time wasters. I do not guarantee that I will answer PMs in the order received. I will answer them in whatever order I see fit which may be out of order.
